Troubleshooting abnormal noises and excessive vibrations in pellet mills
If abnormal noises or excessive vibrations occur during the operation of the biomass pellet mill, users need to quickly troubleshoot the problem and restore the pellet mill to stable operation.
Impact noise: Caused by hard objects in the granulation chamber, loose pressure rollers, or loose couplings. Machine needs to be stopped for cleaning, tightening of eccentric parts, and replacement of the feed tray.
Friction noise: Caused by insufficient grease or worn molds. Grease needs to be added and cleaned, molds repaired and parts replaced, and the granulation chamber cleaned.
Roaring noise: Caused by overload, uneven moisture content in raw materials, or loose machine body. Material needs to be reduced and speed controlled, raw material moisture content checked, and foundation tightened.
Excessive vibration: Caused by loose foundations or an unstable foundation. Tightening, leveling, and reinforcement are needed. Loose or eccentric parts need to be corrected, tightened, or replaced. Uneven raw materials require particle size and moisture control. Damaged bearings require grease addition or replacement.
