Complete process of pellet mill pressed roller gap calibration
The clearance between the pressed rollers is crucial to the pelleting effect of a pellet mill; a proper clearance ensures stable and long-term production. Improper clearance control affects pellet formation and accelerates wear and tear on components.
Before calibration the pellet mill, power off and stop the machine. Clean the mold and pressed rollers of any debris, and use a feeler gauge to accurately measure the standard clearance. Fine-tune the eccentric adjustment structure according to the machine specifications to ensure consistent clearance on both sides.
After adjustment, ensure there is no jamming when manually turning the main unit and no abnormal noise during a no-load test run. Regularly calibrating the clearance effectively reduces machine wear and improves pelleting quality.
