High-quality pellets depend on the proper functioning of the pellet mill. Abnormal operation of the pellet mill is most likely to result in excessive powder in the finished product, significantly reducing product quality.
The main causes of excessive powder include raw material moisture imbalance, severe wear of the pressed rollers and dies, excessively large extrusion gap, and inadequate cooling of the finished product.
The optimization methods are simple and practical: adjust the raw material to the appropriate moisture content, replace worn parts promptly, calibrate the extrusion gap, and rationally control the cooling rate of the finished product to quickly reduce the powder content and improve the compactness of the finished product.
