The gearbox, as the core power source of the pellet mill, ensures stable power transmission for the entire machine. Any abnormal noise is a warning sign of machine malfunction.
Most abnormal noises from pellet mills are caused by insufficient or deteriorated lubricating oil, worn or abnormally meshing gears, damaged bearings, or misaligned installation.
Daily maintenance involves regularly adding or replacing the appropriate lubricating oil, periodically opening the gearbox to inspect the condition of the gears and bearings, and ensuring proper coaxial alignment. Early detection and repair prevent further damage and extend the machine's lifespan.
