
Pellet mills rely on drive belts to output power to the main machine. Belt slippage leads to unstable spindle speed, directly reducing pellet mill capacity and accelerating wear and tear on the belt and pulleys. Severe slippage can cause a sudden surge in main machine current, easily triggering overload shutdown protection.
Long-term belt loosening and aging, dust and oil buildup on pulley surfaces, and sudden increases in feed rate causing load spikes are all core causes of belt slippage.
Stop the machine and clean the pulleys of oil and dust; adjust the tension bolts to tighten the belt; replace cracked, stretched, or aged belts with matching original parts; during production, maintain a stable feed rate to avoid sudden large feeds that could overload the transmission and ensure stable power transmission.
