Emergency Measures for Rotary Dryer Drum
For Drum Jamming
Open all air supply/ash/coal inlets; stop coal feeding and feed conveyor.
Prize the large gear ring while jogging its motor to restart the drum. Shovel materials at the discharge conveyor outlet promptly.
If still stuck after ~10 mins: Spray water into the furnace to extinguish embers, keep prizing until the drum rotates.
Never shut down the fan, discharge conveyor or air lock.
For Drum Fire
Open all air supply/ash/coal inlets; stop coal feeding and feed conveyor. Shovel materials at the discharge conveyor outlet promptly.
Spray water into the furnace to put out the fire immediately.
Never shut down the fan, drum, discharge conveyor or air lock.
After removing all burning materials: Keep the equipment running for 0.5-1hr. Shut down only when fire is out and drum temp <50℃.
Post-shutdown: Monitor for 1-2 days. Restart only when no combustibles remain.
