Optimization for Loose Pellet Problems of Pellet Mill
A pellet mill produces finished pellets by high-pressure extrusion. Stable operation of the pellet mill is critical to ensuring pellet compactness and surface quality. If the pellet mill works under abnormal working parameters, it will generate large quantities of loose, fragile and dusty pellets. Such low-quality pellets have poor wear resistance and high powder content, failing to meet industry standards, reducing the production qualification rate and lowering economic benefits.
Excessively high raw material moisture, insufficient die hole polishing, insufficient pressed roller compression, and inadequate fiber crushing are the main causes of poor pellet forming and loose finished pellets.
In daily production and maintenance, operators should strictly control raw material moisture, regularly polish and maintain the pellet mill die, and properly adjust pressed roller compression. Standardized operation ensures sufficient material extrusion and fiber bonding, effectively improving pellet compactness, surface smoothness and drop resistance, and stabilizing the overall finished pellet quality.
