Solutions for Uneven Particle Size in Hammer Mill Output
The hammer mill undertakes material pulverization for the whole production line. The crushing accuracy of the hammer mill directly governs the quality of subsequent materials. If the hammer mill delivers materials of inconsistent sizes, material classification will become disordered. When these poorly-processed materials are sent into the pellet mill, extrusion resistance will keep fluctuating, which results in irregular pellets and higher powder rate of the pellet mill.
Local screen clogging, uneven wear of hammers, drastic variations in feeding speed and unstable fan pressure are primary reasons for irregular particle-size output.
In daily production, clear blocked areas on the hammer mill's screen on a routine basis, replace worn-out hammers in batches and keep consistent feeding speed. Stabilize air-duct pressure inside the crushing chamber so the hammer mill can produce uniformly sized materials and supply qualified feedstock for pellet-making procedures.
