Rotary dryer drum wall adhesion treatment and prevention
On the entire pellet mill production line, the rotary dryer experienced a problem of material sticking to the drum wall, which not only affected the drying effect but also slowed down the overall production progress of the pellet mill and caused various potential machine hazards. It is imperative to deal with this issue promptly and take preventive measures.
Handling Method: After stopping the machine and disconnecting the power, use a special tool to clean the material buildup on the drum wall, avoiding scratches from hard objects. After cleaning, inspect the drum wall for wear and deformation and repair any damage promptly.
Preventive Measures: Control the moisture content of the feed material to the rotary dryer to prevent excessively moist materials from entering the drum directly. Adjust the feed rate and drum temperature to prevent localized overheating and material adhesion. Regularly inspect and clean the drum wall; consider using an anti-stick coating to reduce material adhesion.
